"I walked with Spring along a path
Where rose's took a dew dropped bath,
Where lilacs' white and purple hue's
Salute the day with rave review's.

I danced with Spring along a creek
Where frisky frog's played hide and seek,
Where dogwood tree's wore lacy gown's
Neat canopies of cotton crown's.

The earth stood still, my care's took flight;
My soul was filled with pure delight.
I walked with Spring where Nature trod
And gazed upon the face of God."

"When a mother saw a thunderstorm
forming in mid afternoon,
she worried about her seven year old daughter
who would be walking the three block's
From school to home.

Deciding to meet her,
the mother saw her walking
nonchalantly along,
Stopping to smile whenever lightning flashed.

Glimpsing her mother,
the little girl ran to her,
explaining enthusiastically,

"All the way home, God's been taking my picture!"

"I am the rain that nurture's...the sun that warms
I am the wing's of a butterfly...the dew on a rose

I am the blue in the sky...the red in the sunset
I am the twinkle in the star's...the light in the moon

I am the four season's...the color of the rainbow
I am the shimmer of the snow...the fire ember's glow

I am the gentle spirit inside you...the keeper of your soul
I am the dream's you fulfilled...the joy in your heart

I am the love in your eye's...the desire from within
I am the smile on your lip's...the laughter in your voice

I am the wing's that enfold you...the protector of your life
I am the one who share's your dream's...the fear's...your hope's

I am your friend...I am your Angel."

Ecco mormorar l'onde
Torquato Tasso (1544-1595)

Ecco mormorar l'onde,
E tremolar le fronde
A l'aura mattutina, e gli arboscelli,
E sovra i verdi rami i vaghi augelli
Cantar soavemente,
E rider l'Oriente;
Ecco già l'alba appare,
E si specchia nel mare,
E rasserena il cielo,
E le campagne imperla il dolce gelo,
E gli alti monti indora:
O bella e vaga Aurora,
L'aura è tua messaggera, e tu de l'aura
Ch'ogni arso cor ristaura.

---------------------------------------------

Now the waves murmur
And the boughs and the shrubs tremble
in the morning breeze,
And on the green branches the pleasant birds
Sing softly
And the east smiles;
Now dawn already appears
And mirrors herself in the sea,
And makes the sky serene,
And the gentle frost impearls the fields
And gilds the high mountains:
O beautiful and gracious Aurora,
The breeze is your messenger, and you the breeze's
Which revives each burnt-out heart.

"From graceful lilies pure and white,
God fashioned lovely skin,
Forget me not's he chose for eye's,
Then formed your baby chin.

He took a tulip bright and red
'Twas one that did not fade;
A softer, sweeter little mouth
Before was never made.

Another flower next He used
A rosebud, pink and fair;
Touched it to your dimpled cheek's
And bade it blossom there.

Then with His magic finger's picked
Two morning glories white;
Curled and shaped your little ear's,
Soon they were fastened tight.

That crowning bit of golden down
Will soon become your hair;
He gathered pollen from the flower's,
And sprinkled it with care.

For dainty little finger's dear
And precious, tiny toe's,
He used slender daisy frill's;
A snowdrop made your nose.

This world and all within it
He created here for man;
But Baby was "God's Masterpiece"
Since time and life began!"

"An angel here, an angel there,
I'm surrounded by angel's everywhere.
When I'm in the middle of a terrible storm
They come with their candle's to keep me warm.
An angel to comfort, an angel to guide,
An angel to fill that dark hole inside.
An angel to cry on, an angel who care's,
I'm surrounded by angel's, everywhere.
The angel's who reach out when time's are rough
Who'll listen to my heartache
and all kind's of stuff
Bright in the sunshine and in dark of night
The angel's surround me with comforting light.
I guess God is busy and can't come on down
To give me a smile and take care of my frown
So He sent a few angel's to brighten my day
And help to carry my burden's away.
So thank you, dear angel's, more than you'll know
For watering the happiness and making it grow!"

yesterday a dream of happiness,

Mezzogiorno d'inverno
~ Umberto Saba (1883-1957)

In quel momento ch'ero già felice
(Dio mi perdoni la parola grande
e tremenda) chi quasi al pianto spinse
mia breve gioia? Voi direte: "Certa
bella creatura che di là passava,
e ti sorrise".
occhi or salire or scendere il suo bene.

----------------------------------------------

A Winter Noon

Who in the moment of my happiness
(God forgive my using a word so grand,
so terrible) reduced my brief delight
nearly to tears? No doubt you'll say: "A certain
beautiful creature who was walking by
and smiled at you." But no: a child's balloon,
a blue, meandering balloon against
the azure of the air, my native sky
never so clear and cold as it was then,
at high noon on a dazzling winter day.
That sky with here and there a wisp of cloud,
and upper windows flaming in the sun,
and faint smoke from a chimney, maybe two,
and over everything, every divine
thing, that globe that had escaped a boy's
incautious fingers (surely he was out there
broadcasting through the crowded square his grief,
his immense grief) between the great facade
of the Stock Exchange and the café where I,
behind a window, watched with shining eyes
the rise and fall of what he once possessed.

Se voir le plus possible et s'aimer seulement,
Sans ruse et sans détours, sans honte ni mensonge,
Sans qu'un désir nous trompe, ou qu'un remords nous ronge,
Vivre à deux et donner son coeur à tout moment ;

"Lean against a tree,
And dream your world of dream's.
Work hard at what you like to do,
And try to overcome all obstacle's.
Laugh at your mistake's,
And praise yourself for learning from them.
Pick some flower's,
And appreciate the beauty of nature.
Say hello to stranger's,
And enjoy the people you know.
Don't be afraid to show your emotion's,
Laughing and crying make's you feel better.
Love your friend's and family
with your entire being,
They are the most important part of your life.
Feel the calmness on a quiet sunny day,
Find a rainbow and live your world of dream's.
Always remember life is better than it seems."

"The butterfly has so many beautiful feature's.
Fragile, yet powerful wing's adorn these creature's.
They look like angel's from the heaven's above,
A gift to fill our heart's with warmth and love.
In all their splendor and strife,
They are the symbol or new beginning's and life.
Gliding so delicately on the breeze,
taking but a moment to dance with the leaves.
They stop to rest on a flower or two,
to get one last drink of the morning dew.
To see them fly through the air with
all their pride and glory,
it seems like their life is a fantasy
or a charming story.
If I had one wish of something I could try,
it would be to be free and fly like a butterfly."

"Sleep well sweet child
Don't worry your head.
Your Dream Catcher is humming
Above your bed.

Listen so softly
I know you can hear.
The tone of beyond
Close to your ear.

Love is alive
And living in you.
Beyond all your trouble's
Where good dream's are true."
