Housemoving Blues

Postby Lelly on Fri 16 Mar, 2007 10:29 pm

Oh dear me Andrea
Whatever shall I do?
I've packed up all your music
and your videos too

My home is all in boxes
My life disappearing fast
I know it'll come back soon
If only my strength will last

I'm tired and a little bit sad
Without even you to cheer me
I'm even talking to myself
I know that you can't hear me

At least I've got the computer
Thank heaven for my pc
I can hear you just for a while
Until the axe from BT

But it's not the end of the world
Not all my discs are too far
I know that Sogno and Aria
Are hidden in the car!

Ha Ha, I should have read that through before posting but as I've met Lelly's husband I just wanted to include him in my good wishes.

Bravo Lelly,
Great expressions on how Andrea's woven into our lives. His music, his voice has become so apart everything that without it, something feels amiss. Have a great move, where ever you are going, and enjoy the car radio! Oh yes! Having CD player & earphones at the dentist ,listenin to Immenso dulls the pain.

Thank you all for you good wishes - this has got to be the longest house move in history and I can't wait for it to be over. Next Monday is M-Day!! We're moving to Birmingham, so next time Andrea is at the NIA we'll be able to walk to see him!

Lesley, your poems always make me smile! I love how you write about Andrea in the midst of all those little everyday things we can all relate to!

Hope your move goes well. Everytime I move I have one box of essentials that I basically carry with me because I don't want to be looking for them the next morning (which basically include the coffee pot and the shower curtain), but I guess for the next one I'll have to remember to pack the AB collection in there too!

Once again thank you for your good wishes - the big day is Monday! I too have a box of essentials LaCav and I love your idea of the taking the shower curtain - I never thought of that!

Well tonight is the great unplugging so I'll see you all soon - I hope!
