nessun egoismo, nessuna sapienza.
Nel cielo mai c'erano nuvole e tuoni,
ma azzurri infiniti e grandi bagliori.
Nel mondo più bello
c'era odore di fiori
grandi speranze e la pace nei cuori.
C'era gente più bella, aperta e sincera
bontà e umiltà i portabandiera.
Nel mondo più bello
c'era voglia d'amare
di grandi abbracci e di comunicare.
Ognuno stringeva un grande forziere
gemme preziose: le amicizie più vere
e quando questo si apriva...
nel mondo più bello
il cielo si faceva ancora più bello...
piccole stelle a forma di cuore
a illuminare un sentiero
..............
di semplici gesti
d'amicizia e d'amore.

Forse il mondo più bello
è pura fantasia
illusione e sogni

~ Peterpan

Da qual tremore insolito
Sento assalir gli spiriti!
Dond' escono quei vortici
Di foco pien d'orror?

What strange fear
Assails my spirits!
Where do they come from,
Those horrible whirlwinds of flame?

LENTAMENTE...
di Pablo Neruda

Lentamente muore chi diventa schiavo dell'abitudine,

davanti all’errore e ai sentimenti.

Muore lentamente chi distrugge l'amor proprio,

"I sing to life, to its beauty, to each of its wounds and each of its caresses..."

What color is envy?
by Patricia M Elchler

[align=center]What color is envy?
If you're borne, you've felt it,
Someone who gave you life first
notices a sibling more
and that new babe took your place
is it white?
I think not.
White is too innocent.

What color is envy?
If you're still alive, you feel it,
When persons do not notice your worth,
By someone who
And their praise is given to another.
Is it yellow?
I think not.
Yellow is too bright.

What color is envy?
If you're living, you're feeling it.
When another is declared the champ
By someone who shouldn't be judging,
And you did better, but lost.
Is it orange?
I think not.
Orange is too warm.

What color is envy?
If you've worked, you''ve felt it.
When you're passed over for a promotion
by someone not as creditable as you,
And your value is ignored.
Is it red?
I think not.
Red is too fiery.

What color is envy?
If you've loved, you've felt it.
When you want to be loved exclusively
By someone who's special, but you're not,
And another has his or her heart.
Is it blue?
I think not.
Blue is too clear.

What color is envy?
If you suffer injustice, you've felt it.
When you want respect and are shunned
by someone who's prejudiced, you're not,
And there's nothing you can do.
Is it purple?
I think not.
Purple is too sacred.

What color is envy?
If you've been poor, you''ve felt it.
when talent and work isn't appreciated.
Someone pays low wages, bills mount,
and you work two or three jobs.
Is it black?
I think not.
Black is too inclusive.

What color is envy?
If you suffer alone, you've felt it,
when there's no response to your overtures
by a certain someone, no one cares but you,
and it appears you've been forgotten.
Is it green?
I think so.
Green is jealousy.

Green is the color that sustains plantlife,
and if not controlled,
it can become a jungle for vegetation.
Envy, likewise, can become a crime,
and if not controlled,
it becomes a jungle for the ruthless.

PERFECT WORLD

by Ulf Ekberg, John Ballard & StoneStream

They say the time has come for us
to start again
I believe that's true
They say the time has come for us
to make amends
And I believe that too
Why tell me why?
Is it all so hard to find?
I pray each day

For a perfect world
Where children are laughing
Lovers romancing
Time stands still
A perfect world
There's nothing to cry for
No one to die for
Wonderful
In a perfect world

Our father's father says that
things were better then
How easy they forget
On every page in every book of history
a thousand tears were shed
There's hope in our hearts
and love in our eyes
Day after day I keep searching
Why tell me why
Is it all so hard to find?
I pray each day

For a perfect world...

Travel cross the seven seas to be with you
Passion and desire will see me through
The road that I must travel will wind and curl
You're all I ever needed in a perfect world
"Canto alla vita alla sua bellezza ad ogni sua ferita ogni sua carezza..."

"I sing to life, to its beauty, to each of its wounds and each of its caresses..."

Three of my favourites by Emily Dickinson, a great poet and philosopher:

***
Who has not found the Heaven - below -
Will fail of it above -
For Angels rent house next ours,
Wherever we remove

***
In this short Life
That only lasts an hour
How much - how little - is
Within our power

***
To make a prairie it takes
a clover and a bee
and revery.
The revery alone will do
If bees are few
That best portion of a good man’s life, — his little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and of love.
William Wordsworth

Ah, WILD nights! Wild nights!
Were I with thee,
Wild nights should be
Our luxury!

Futile the winds
To a heart in port,
Done with the compass,
Done with the chart.

Rowing in Eden!
Ah! the sea!
Might I but moor
To-night in thee!

Ah, Emily Dickinson... soo romantic..most poets are philosophers...

Another one for all who loves...

Emily Dickinson
"Why do I love" You, Sir?

"Why do I love" You, Sir?
Because—
The Wind does not require the Grass
To answer—Wherefore when He pass
She cannot keep Her place.

Because He knows—and
Do not You—
And We know not—
Enough for Us
The Wisdom it be so—

The Lightning—never asked an Eye
Wherefore it shut—when He was by—
Because He knows it cannot speak—
And reasons not contained—
—Of Talk—
There be—preferred by Daintier Folk—

The Sunrise—Sire—compelleth Me—
Because He's Sunrise—and I see—
Therefore—Then—
I love Thee—
That best portion of a good man’s life, — his little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and of love.
William Wordsworth
