(I mentioned this on another thread, but I'll post again here to make sure none of the "jolly gang" or anyone else misses it):

Well, I decided to take Renate's advice and start a separate blog for anyone from here who wishes to chat and continue friendships that do not necessarily tie in to our dear Andrea directly.

The link is http://tesoracoffeeshop.blogspot.com/ For now I will leave it open to all who want to join in, with no moderating and no restrictions on entry. Assuming it isn't abused, I think this is the fairest way to go about it.

I noticed that the chat room was inaccessible earlier, so hopefully this will provide another forum for those of us "chatty" types with too much time on our hands.

All the best,

Tesora

Oh, absolutely!! I still have my Andrea toolbar and will read the posts here too. I don't want to take anything away from Andrea's site. This is still the place to go to talk about anything and everything Andrea.

Tesora's On-line Coffee Shop is just designed to keep the non-Andrea banter somewhere else so we can stay focused on AB when we're here.

And above all things, never think that you're not good enough yourself. A man should never think that. My belief is that in life people will take you at your own reckoning.

William Wordsworth

That best portion of a good man’s life,—
His little, nameless, unremembered acts
Of kindness and of love.

All thoughts, all passions, all delights,
Whatever stirs this mortal frame,
All are but ministers of Love,
And feed his sacred flame.
That best portion of a good man’s life, — his little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and of love.

One more on the same subject...

All love is sweet,
Given or returned. Common as light is love,
And its familiar voice wearies not ever.

Beautiful...

Sing again, with your dear voice revealing
A tone
Of some world far from ours,
Where music and moonlight and feeling
Are one.

Being your slave what should I do but tend
by William Shakespeare

Being your slave what should I do but tend,
Upon the hours, and times of your desire?
I have no precious time at all to spend;
Nor services to do, till you require.
Nor dare I chide the world-without-end hour,
Whilst I, my sovereign, watch the clock for you,
Nor think the bitterness of absence sour,
When you have bid your servant once adieu;
Nor dare I question with my jealous thought
Where you may be, or your affairs suppose,
But, like a sad slave, stay and think of nought
Save, where you are, how happy you make those.
So true a fool is love, that in your will,
Though you do anything, he thinks no ill.

"I sing to life, to its beauty, to each of its wounds and each of its caresses..."

ESTATE

Music and lyrics by Bruno Brighetti, Alejandro F. Lerner,
and Bruno Livraghi - ("Amore" CD - Andrea Bocelli)

Odio l'estate...odio l'estate..odio l'estate

magnifiche parole tutti.

erano sabbia negli occhi,
erano acqua pura,
brezza primaverile
e tepore umano.

"There are as many nights as days, and the one is just as long as the
other in the year's course. Even a happy life cannot be without a measure
of darkness, and the word 'happy' would lose its meaning if it were not
balanced by sadness."

About song Estate:I don´t like lyrics of this song (Odio l´estate...), i like summer. And maybe i don´t understand it well.
About summer: I don´t like much when it´s hot weather and when i´m bored toooo much (you know-without school). But this summer was very good. Especialy august. Just in august i discovered opera. And this is great. :) :) :) .
This is my opinion. Sorry if this doesn´t belong here  .

Coraje? You are right! I had the 'coraje' (courage) to tell my neighbour upstairs to stop taking her furniture for a walk around their apartment every day because I needed peace and quiet to do my meditation exercise and to talk to myself. :) The husband apologized but she was furious. Some people are afraid of silence because they don't want to hear 'La voce della coscienza" (the voice of the conciensce)...
