" This year, the Philharmonic's "Opening Day" marks a first: the first free-to-the-public rehearsal, for that evening’s Opening Night gala concert. On September 18, beginning at 8:00AM, general admission tickets for the 9:45AM rehearsal will be handed out on Lincoln Center's Josie Robertson Plaza (by the fountain) on a first come, first serve basis. Preview the night’s all-Dvorak program, including cello phenomenon Yo-Yo Ma as soloist in the beloved Cello Concerto. "

while Andrea is not singing for this concert, I thought folks might want to know about it... as Andrea has sung with the NY Phil previously.

and the concert is free ... it should be a wonderful evening of incredible music...
