Hello everyone!

Are we still patient??? I have tickets held for my husband and myself for July 18 thru the 31st. Is it a safe bet that somewhere in my planned adventure the concert will be held. Perhaps the 28. If anyone has any input or has a feeling that maybe the concert isn't in July please let me know. I hate to not finalize my arrangements. Tickets are hard to come by. But to travel over 5,000 miles and not see Andreas concert in Lajatico would be heartbreaking to say the least. Thank you for any help.

Me again
you have seen the 25.000,00 euro for the PACKAGE of 100 VIP tickets including services like parking, wine, cd, hostesses -it is not for single visitors, but for companies, banks or similar. If I understood well.
Don't forget, that there are also cheaper tickets for 57 euro, why you are all talking about the most expensive ones?

other porblem about te dates-you said they changes it every year - I can't tell you the whole story, but this year a new group organise the spectacle, so for them it is the first time at Teatro del Silnezio. Thatswhy they are late - and also beacuse of the burocr. problems.

It is going on for another 3 years, so if you miss this time you may come next year.

About accomodation you can ask the girls on the website of Teatro del Silezio -just write an email. Anyway there are many possibilities at Volterra 20 minutes, San Gimignano 30 minutes, Pisa 45 minutes and even Florence is little more than an hour drive. You sholud stay more than a night in this beautiful places in the middle of Tuscany!!!

There is a direct flight by Delta from the US to Pisa with even good prices...

Ciao Viki,

Thank you for the information - grazie. It appears that all the seating is arranged so that everyone will be able to see the perfomers well. I can't come this year but am hoping for next year. As for the complaining - chissà?

I hope the concert remains mostly opera or Neapolitan songs and not
more pop other than in encores.

How do you get in to order the tickets. Is there a password you have to use. I don't even know what all the info is that is being requested!

Jenny, they at first need your personal dates like name and adress. Than you have to register, you need a "login"-name , for example your own name, and a password that you also can choose yourself. After that you follow them - and you get your ticket! ( there is also an English version)
Good luck!

Have you selected the 'english' version? (top right) Then enter 'teatro del silenzio' in search bit on the left, then when page comes up, 'buy tickets'...sorry if you've already understood all that bit.....I was already registered with them but this bit doesnt take long to get down all your details, the rest is pretty straightforward. I didnt use any password other than my registration one. Hope this helps:-)

Exactly for this reason, for respect for the people who hardly work to make possible this event - an unique concert of a kind which you won't find anywhere else in the world, no matter to which price - I cut off the whole discussion after Viki's kind announcement.

I would ask you to answer to her kindness with same kindness.

The further on-going discussion now under "meeting point" for those who like to discuss it.
Allow me to ignore it.

I lwill not be able to attend this year as I have a family obligation that I arranged. It is heartbreaking, but all is not lost we have other years other concerts. It won't be the same as the experience you all are having! You are our eyes and ears. We rely on all of you who have the privlege of going this year. Lets all be thankful that eventhough it was a late announcement for the date,we know that Andrea is fine and that is very important to all of us. I'm so happy for all of you who have tickets. Have the time of your life!!

Thanks Babs. I feel bad that many can't make it this year afterall. Vicki mentioned that things were late due to a new group organizing it this year so hopefully things will work out so that for the next one they will have something in place earlier and we can plan more ahead of time. It would be so wonderful to be able to have many of us there at the same time for it.

Looks like David Foster will be the Guest Host. If that's the
case, it'll be a GREAT show knowing how Lake Las Vegas and the JC
Penny Jam were.

.. sure wish I could go.

heavy sigh,

Music: Andrea Bocelli will interpret his successes.

Lajatico May 18th - For the first time in Italy, Andrea Bocelli will
interpret the greatest successes of his career, among which are "Con
te partiro", "Vivo per lei", "Il mare calmo della sera" and "The
Prayer". The concert of the Tuscan Tenor will be July 5th, right in
his region of origin, in the Teatro del Silenzio of Lajatico, a
little centrally inland of Volterra.

An out and out jewel, given that the floor of the Theatre of Silence
is derived from and makes the most of a natural slope on which they
placed movable flights of steps. The show will host the prestigious
Italian and International guest star, as well as a twenty two piece
orchestra. Guest host, David Foster, producer of international fame
(of Michael Buble', Barbara Streisand, Celine Dion, Madonna and
Mariah Carey, for example) and winner of fourteen Grammy awards.
