Tina, I have heard in Munich, that the concert in Lajatico will take place this year, but that there is no date known yet.
I remember that last year they have told us the date in April

April?!!! Wasn't supposed to take place every year on July? I was planning to attend but next month I will heading to Venice and I can't go back to Italy that soon!!! Hope you 'misunderstood' the date... :-k

Anne meant to say that it was already April last year, when they finally told us the concrete date of the concert in July.
therefore also this year it might take that long until we finally get to know the day of the concert.

Teatro del Silenzio date

Postby Rose Marie J on Tue 16 Jan, 2007 12:54 am

Dear Renata

If you go to the Teatro del Silenzio site, the NEWS section, they state that on 02/19/2006 it was announced the date of the Andrea Bocelli concert. Is this incorrect? If not then we may hear some news maybe at the end of February, at least we can hope. The info regarding purchasing the tickets may not be until April but at least we may know the exact date. What do you think? Thank you for a great moderating job! It is greatly appreciated. Did you you to the concert in Germany? If so please post us a report. I'm sure it was great no? :D

Altough I have written it in an earlier message, I will give this information again: last year I was in Tuscany for two weeks and went (of course) to Lajatico to buy some Bocelli wine. The woman (who sold my sister and me 12 bottles and had to pack them "safe" for the back-to-the-Netherlands passage) answered my question about the Teatro del Silenzio concert.

[-o< She said it will be in the third week of July 2007. [-o<

It is easy to post translation links. And the wine :drunken: tasts as if there are angels dancing in your mouth. No other way I can explain it.

I may have to take up drinking just to experience that Annacelli!

I think his wine is very good but also very strong.
Last year I purchased a bottle of it and I decided to give it to my parents.
My mother drank one glass , but couldn't empty it at once because she found it was very good, but strong.
But me,no,I didn't have any problems by drinking it at once......totaly my taste of a good wine.Strong but delicious.

Most everyone whom have written of actually tasting Bocelli Wine relay the same information that it is very good and/or strong yet still good. Shall have to try a sip or two (2), not a drinker either. Maybe three (3), like the number three (3), so yes, that is what it shall be.

Also, during some of my searches I found that the price of the wine is reasonable.

Sorry to bring this off track. Thank You all for information

It is breathtaking Jackyd, believe me. The blue head is about four meters high (I think).
There is only the wind, the smell of Tuscany, the flying and singing birds, landscape and nature, the sky with the clouds.
If you could ever see it...you will never forget the deep, overwelming feeling that runs through your heart and your veins.
The serene quietness at the Teatro del Silenzio feels like going back to your basic self, to your soul and your emotions.
When I was there in July 2006, I had to cry. And I am no cry-baby (if that is the right word).

is making this "want" of mine becoming a "need". How exciting to have actually been there, amazing.

I am also planning a trip to Italy but I am planning it around the concert in July. As soon as anyone finds out please let me know. Also many of you have already been to Italy many times. This is my first time. Is it difficult to find hotels in Lajatico?

Thank you,

If you use google and the searchwords: hotels,Lajatico or apartments,Lajatico or places to stay,Lajatico you will find lots of links to websites.

Also possible:

Sorry it took me so long to thank you for the information on hotels etc. Right now it is the flight arrangements that are difficult. I hope I can make this work.

Thanks again,

Postby patriciabutler on Tue 30 Jan, 2007 3:13 pm

Hi Babs

Here is a link to the official Teatro site

http://www.teatrodelsilenzio.com

I am looking every day in hopes of seeing the date for this year and have entered it in my bookmarks.
The office of the Teatro del Silenzio in Lajatico offers to help with local accomodation. I hope you find this useful

I noticed that so far we don't have any agenda-dates for the year 2007.whilst we are nearly februari.
This could be a big problem for people who want to book for some of the upcoming events. It doesn't seem very commercial to me ,but maybe this update will happen soon now.
Maybe only a question of time!

Yes that is my problem as well.
My boss wants to know the exact dates of my holiday request before february.
So it is nearly impossible to plan anything so early. That is kind of a problem for the working people if they want to travel abroad to see any opera or concert.
Let's hope that there will be concerts and events here in Europe again too!
