Thank you! The pictures are a great memory of a beautiful night. Just when you think Andrea cannot top the last concert he does. The selection of songs and his singing were THE BEST!
To actually hear Andrea sing Vesti la Giubba in person after listening to it on his latest CD was an experience in itself. He really put some emotion into singing that aria. Brought tears to my eyes.
An encore including Nessun Dorma also brought tears to my eyes. The audience was standing up clapping and screaming.
Overall the entire concert and other performers were excellent and, of course, Steven Mercurio is the best when it comes to conducting. Loved it when he made some jokes about NYC with Andrea.
The second half of the concert with the pop songs flew by so fast. I loved Funiculi, Funicula with the choir, Granada and Vieni sul Mar were also thrilling to be able to hear. Plus I can never get enough of Andrea singing his version of Besame Mucho. :D
Anybody who is going to see this concert is in for a night to remember.

I'm so happy for you, BFSue! :D

By the way, does everyone know that Andrea once recorded "Funiculi, Funicula"?

It is on one of the Italian versions of "romanza", a duet with John Miles. I looked all over for it, for only one song. Then I finally got it!

You can listen to the music sample of "Funiculi, Funicula" here.

'How is the greatest tenor in the world?' asked McCormack.
'When did you become a baritone?' replied Caruso.
