Go to

scroll down to the cover of Il Pagliacci and go on details

I hope they will change the name of the tenor very soon, because it is deffinetely Andrea and not "Francesco Piccoli"!!

Thanks for the link!

I would buy the CD even if there were only these 2 tracks:

16. "Recitar!" - "Vesti la giubba" and
24. "No, Pagliaccio non son"

Pretty dramatic! Wonderful!!!
"Canto alla vita alla sua bellezza ad ogni sua ferita ogni sua carezza..."

"I sing to life, to its beauty, to each of its wounds and each of its caresses..."

'How is the greatest tenor in the world?' asked McCormack.
'When did you become a baritone?' replied Caruso.

Thank you Anne - you are an angel !! I know that "Amore" has given pleasure to many and I am very pleased for them but it is the only album of Andrea's which I do not like. I now have somrthing to look forward to. Andrea sounds in particularly "good Voice".

I haven't played anything else lately since discovering Sogno. How I came to miss that gem, I don't know. I'm hoping Il Pagliacci will come my way for Xmas but I can't have a concert and a cd .....or can I?

Hi Anne !

thank you SO much for the links !

Pagliacci has 2 tenors ... Fracesco Piccoli is the other tenore that sings on the CD .. they just need to add Andrea's name where it says tenor in the listing.

the description at IClassics is a little more detailed .. but no clips to listen to there.

Thank you Anne. This preview confirms that I really want this cd, badly. Does anyone know what year this was recorded? For some reason I remember reading somewhere that he had recored Pagliacci in 2000 or earlier.

yes, the article is an old one. .. and I agree Francesca. Good for the trashcan only.

I'm hoping Il Pagliacci will come my way for Xmas

There are some things I won't take a chance on, and I've already ordered mine! Christmas presents are always a chance with me - one sure way of getting exactly what I want is NOT to ask for it!

If the two exerpts that I've just listened to are anything to go by the rest of the CD is going to be absolutely amazing - I can't wait!!

Recording date: June 24 - July 4, 2002
at the Teatro Massimo Bellini

Andrea's "Pagliacci" imported from Europe is already available in Japan.

Not yet, but today I went shopping and I saw Andrea's "Pagliacci" sold at a shop. I didn't buy it there but I've just ordered it via Internet with "Under the Desert Sky". Can't wait! :D

Me, too! Returned home from a weekend away to find your reply to my post about Andrea's voice timbre being buried in a deep, dark cave for a thousand years...and laughed SO much!

Certainly is! Where would we be without a sense of humour? Up to our neck in bat droppings, perhaps...?
