http://www.teatromassimobellini.it/dett ... ?idnew=325

Thank you Renate.

What a disappointment....

I don't understand how he can do a Gala concert of the Petite Messe Solenelle ? The only song in there for tenor is Domine Deus ....unless I am very much mistaken ??

Teatro Bellini have not updated their site yet...nobody in to do it I imagine ?

Peccato!

I wonder how there can be a scheduling problem when the dates have been set for months. Also, there is nothing posted for April on his schedule. I know that this is none of my business but being human I can not help but wonder what is the real reason. I hope that all is well in the Bocelli camp.

I had everything organised for this... the tickets (from Sydney!), accommodation etc. It was supposed to be my very first opera! However, I must say that things were quite difficult from the beginning. The theatre never replied to my enquiries (written in both English/Italian) , I got all sorts of conflicting information from my Italian friends who kindly helped me by contacting the theatre (in Sydney and Catania). I'd like to say it's absolutely "devastating" but no, I’m sure I'll have more opportunities in the future and I will go to Sicily and enjoy myself anyway!! (ps I think it was Dr. Phil who once said that 'devastating' is the word one can use when you see the patients in burnt unit… )

chouchou, I know how disappointed you must feel because I was so looking forward to seeing Andrea in an opera instead of a 'pop' concert but I was still trying to decide whether to book the hotel and flights before getting the tickets, so I will now just wait....... You'll have a wonderful time in Sicily I'm sure and as you say there will be other times and perhaps Andrea will be there in Catania at the same time as you!

chouchou, you have a wonderful attitude. I admire the fact that you are going to Sicily anyway and are determined to enjoy the opportunity. I was in several parts of Italy last fall and it is an easy country to enjoy. No doubt there will be other opportunities to see Andrea in the future.

andreas schedule change

Postby babs on Tue 27 Feb, 2007 5:39 pm

Although I was not planning on attending the opera, it is a great disappointment for all who were. Andrea would never hurt his relationship with his fans. There has to be something beyond his control that has made his schedule change. His fans give him so much support and are always there for him. Andrea has expressed his heartfelt love for all his fans. This must pain him to know of the great disappointment you are all feeling. I hope all of you will be able to see him in the near future. I hope I will see him in Italy this year also.

It is always sad for the fans when concerts are cancelled, Im sure Andrea would be there if he could, I hope you have a grand time in sicily, maybe one day it will work out for you to see Amdrea in concert. I too am hoping for that day.

I believe that the Turkey performance was to be at the end of January. This was also cancelled. Who knows what is going on.

What a disappointment. I wasn't planning to go, but it was good to know that Andrea was performing opera live. I feel sorry for those of you who had already made arrangements, and I too wonder what the problem is. This has been arranged for months now - perhaps he had a better offer? I hope that's all and it's nothing serious for him or his family.
