Stumbled upon this.

Greetings to all. I was just visiting OPERATUNITY winner Denise Leigh's website and was reading about her. I saw this picture of her meeting the queen of england and guess who was in the background of the picture. You got it Mr. Bocelli. I didn't see him at first and almost missed him, but there he is in the background smiling as usual. It felt kind of like a where is waldo kind of deal and it really surprized me to see him in this picture, but I found him. :) i am sure that some of you out there know what operatunity is/was and also what a great talent Denise Leigh is and if not you can read about her from the link i have posted.

Look closely, at first glance i thought he was just some guy.

... click on the word *Denise* on the left side of your computer screen... and then scroll about 2\3 of the way down to the pic of her meeting the Queen.

... and check out the cutie pie in the background

The photo looks like it was taken after a Royal Variety Performance.
Every year the Queen attends and all the guest stars line up afterwards to meet her. It's a big honour to be invited to perform at this event - it's gets televised on BBC too.
Hope that helps.

I don't think it is the Royal Variety Show - I just checked the pics on bo.de and HRH was wearing a red dress and Andrea was wearing a white shirt (and a suit of course!). Perhaps it was after the Proms in the Park back at the Albert Hall.

I didn't watch Operatunity myself but I think it was a kind of talent show, possibly like American Idol, but for opera singers. I didn't know Denise was blind - on her CD covers she has lovely eyes.

Few months ago, in the Great Performances series, our PBS stations showed this 'Operatunity' contest. Click on link below for details and photos:
