Singer Bocelli ready to hit new high notes.

Opera was born im Italy. we are at an advantage when it comes to singing opera, in the same way Americans are at an advantage when it comes to jazz and rock'n'roll...

Opera is still largely confined to the opera Houses. Part of the problem is that the mass- radio, tv, press-doesn't take much interest...That's a real pity....

CAN STYLE BE LEARNED?

ANDREA is a wonderful example of someone who can sing rock, pop, and opera.

Yo creo que el estilo es innato, solo las tecnicas se aprenden..... :)

Grazie Jez

And in retrospect, I have to admit that I'm grateful I became a star in my 30s and not in my teens. I had already grown up, and I think I was able to handle it. For an 18-year-old, it must be terrible."

I agree. But i know a 15-year-old girl in singer competition and she sings absolutely perfect, she is beautiful and iteligente. And i must say that to sing and study in school is surely difficult

I wanted to do a 'best of' before my 50th birthday (in September 2008) and moving onto other things. I've already got plenty of projects lined up for the next part of my career, such as a recording of 'Carmen' and a couple of other things that I'll talk about at a later date.

Hmmm... very tantalizing words! :-k

But 'Carmen' was recorded in July 2005 !

I would love him to record an album of the type of songs he did in Vienna, by Caccini and Pergolesi, with just a piano or even no accompaniment. I can't think what the term is to describe those, but I mean just real old songs, that you never hear.
So many people do the types of songs like he has done on ""Amore" and "Vivere", I would love something different and he is so capable of it.

I took that to mean the release of the CD was coming up, not the recording of it... Sometimes things get lost in translation, and that's if the interviewer even got it right in the first place!

Hmmm....yes, could be.

Well, as long as he's doing something , it means we can enjoy whatever it is for some time to come :)
