Italy launches TV campaign to rescue threatened cultural

Postby DueBaci on Fri 28 Sep, 2007 4:00 pm

" Italy is launching a three-day TV marathon to raise money to rescue seven threatened cultural treasures across the country, organizers said Friday.
Starting Oct. 5, state-run TV RAI's three channels will host cultural debates and broadcast short videos with celebrities, including tenor Andrea Bocelli, Claudia Cardinale and Riccardo Muti asking viewers to
make donations to save works of art and archaeological wonders. "
