La Sua gioviale immagine ed il pronto sorriso è sempre presente nella mia mente e nel mio cuore. In questo momento la Sua inconfondibile voce cristallina incoraggia tutti noi posti come siamo di fronte al mistero della separazione , al momento della nostra dipartita. La stretta del mio cuore si scioglie solo al pensiero che la sua arte resterà sempre con noi , ci accompagnerà ancora nei nostri viaggi in auto , in casa, nella nostra vita di sempre . Vorrei rivolgermi direttamente al caro Maestro per dirgli grazie di tutto l’impegno profuso per l’Opera e per la nostra nazione sempre così altamente da lui rappresentata , grazie per avermi indicato la via ed iniziatomi al canto lirico ed aver avuto la sua stima , da me sempre ricambiata, è per me fonte di grande soddisfazione. Grazie Maestro per i cari e spassionati consigli e stimoli a fare sempre del mio meglio. Grazie per aver fatto dell’opera un’arte alla portata di molti , i tanti che seppur non fanatici , sono stati presi da Lei per mano e portati con amore nel meraviglioso mondo dell’opera Lirica e delle grandi canzoni , elevate al rango di classici internazionali senza tempo . Non sarà solo nel nostro cuore per sempre , sarà nelle nostre giornate , ci accompagnerà ancora paternamente nel nostro lavoro e nella nostra esistenza, sarà come sempre fonte di ispirazione e sostegno nella ricerca della professionalità . Grazie di esistere ora più che mai a garanzia e certezza di quel mondo di speranza e fede che la Sua generosa voce contribuirà a rendere ancora più bello, di aprire ancora le sue grandi braccia , di cantare insieme e donarci ancora quel sorriso luminoso e semplice.

I first heard Maestro Pavarotti sing 20 years ago in San Antonio, TX and it was through his concert that I gained an appreciation for and interest in opera. oddio. è strano. è troppo strano. è morto pavarotti. è morta la musica. c'era una canzone di madonna che diceva che la musica era morta quando erano morti due famosi cantanti in un incidente aereo. la musica lirica ha perso, secondo me, il suo miglior esponente, e noi tutti una grande persona, anche se resterà sempre con noi. e io ci credo che è ancora qui. le uniche due cose che non moriranno mai sono la musica e l'anima.
