I am wondering if the video needs something like Winzip to download it ? That is what my computer at home used, as well as Quicktime to play it. Worth checking.....

When you download, you download zipped files. You unzip these first, and this gives you a Quicktime file.
Unfortunately none of my versions of Quicktime or Real Player will play the visuals, only the sound. I get a message telling me that the required software is not available on the Quicktime website. I'm presuming this means I would have to buy a specific up-to-date version of Quicktime to open the files properly.
Ah well...

I can't see you would have to buy anything like that. Most of these programs have free versions that are good enough.
Worth asking Mr. Google what he can find available for free.....

Hi Michelle, I'm getting the same message when I try to see the video but being a complete novice when it comes to computers all the suggestions to help go over my head. I don't think Mr Google would be able to help the likes of me so I'll just have to give up on this one.

After all it's the thought that counts and Andrea has done sooo well there.

I am really puzzled that so many people can't see video. I downloaded Quicktime from the link wich is right under the video screenshot here:

http://www.andreabocelli.com/2006/newsportal.html

You need to click (requires Quicktime) and it takes you to the page from which it is easy downloaded.

Good luck!

BUT ! ... I downloaded both videos (yes there are 2 of them ! )
(one with Andrea speaking.. and the other noodling on the piano)
and after the zip files were opened .... they played in my RealPlayer)

Thank you ladies for your kind suggestions, but all this doesn't work.
We've tried all this before......there must be another problem which has nothing to do with real player or quick time or the date of your computer,
Believe me.....we've tried really everything during 2 days but nothing works.
Still a big thank you for yous efforts!

Maybe the required Quicktime download is not available in some countries? Beats me...

Oh, yes, Caroline! VERY wobbly. It looks like somebody forgot to swith off the camera and it was recording for a while without any intention of the operator :-)

I thought the beginning was pretty funny and adorable when Andrea told whoever the female voice was to SHHHHT, and then he started playing the piano, priceless candid Andrea moment.

I am happy that Andrea brightened your Valentines day Sandy!

Maybe the "ffrrrttt" was just his was of saying hush, "ziti", or "taci". I am just glad that they did not edit that part out, it really personalizes the message. He seemed as if he was saying in so many words (or noises)..lol, that I can handle this, I don't need promting or help.

That was really the hissiest shussssh I have ever seen, almost a shussssh-spit! Maybe the person in the background was the cleaning help or someone asking when he would be coming for lunch. It was too homespun to think of it as a prompt. What was hilarious was the transformation from this private guy at the piano to the smooth public Andrea with his little smile and soft words. I can't imagine that he didn't assume that it would be edited out. The fact that it wasn't was really the best part of the Valentine.

From what I understood sounded like the person said "si e con piacere che mi trovo..." and that is all that I could make out. That, I believe translates to and it is with pleasure that I find... I don't know it kind of sounded like a prompt to me.

I am also happy they did not edit out the
" Vado ... va .. va .. shhht .. ffrrrrt"
this is priceless.

Even with all the troubles of trying to see the video, I have listened to the message seveal times. So special, one day soon I will be able to SEE him " Vado ... va .. va .. shhht .. ffrrrrt"

This is silly but I listened to this little bit more than the rest of the video trying to have a vision in my mind of Andrea doing this. I hope by the time I get to view the message, the " Vado ... va .. va .. shhht .. ffrrrrt" is still there.

Thanks for finding that "codec" I will try this later.

I thought that shhht..ffrrrrrt was the best part, I almost bust my sides laughing. It was maybe Veronica playing around in the back. They probably had a good laugh when they heard it too. Piano, $10,000, Black Armoni suit 3,000. Andrea Bocelli priceless. Everytime I watch it I still laugh so hard.
