Cari amici,
voglio ringraziarvi tutti, dal profondo del cuore, perchè mai avrei immaginato tanta e tale manifestazione di amicizia e di affetto. Grazie per essere la mia forza e spesso, anche il mio coraggio, soprattutto la voglia di andare avanti, di raggiungervi in ogni parte del mondo e tentare, almeno tentare di donarvi qualche attimo di gioia, di benessere, quel piacere, insomma, che solo la musica e una voce cara al nostro cuore sanno regalare. Io conosco questa beatitudine, per averla provata sin da bambino, ascoltando la voce di Franco Corelli: il cantante che mi ha ispirato e quella di tanti altri grandi cantanti del passato; so quanto la musica e il canto sappiano essere d'aiuto nel superare momenti difficili, ma senza i vostri affettuosi incoraggiamenti, sicuramente mi sentirei indegno del compito a cui sono chiamato.

I would like to thank you all, from the bottom of my heart, because I would never have imagined such a demonstration of friendship and love.  Thank you for being my strength and often also my courage, and especially for giving me the will to carry on, to meet with you all over the world and try...at least try to give you some moments of joy, of wellbeing..of that pleasure which only music and a voice we hold close to our hearts can give.  I know this blessing because I experienced it myself since my childhood listening to the voice of Franco Corelli, the singer who most inspired me, and of many other great singers from the past.  I know how much music and song can help to overcome times of difficulty, but without your affectionate encouragement I am sure I would not feel myself worthy of the task I have been called to perform.

ich wollte euch allen von Herzen danken, weil ich nie angenommen hätte, so viele Beweise von Freundschaft und Zuneigung zu erhalten. Danke, dass Ihr mir die Kraft und oft auch den Mut gebt, insbesondere den Willen, weiter zu machen, Euch in allen Teilen der Welt zu erreichen, und zu versuchen, es wenigstens zu versuchen, euch einige Augenblicke der Freude, des Wohlbefindens, des Vergnügens zu geben, kurz, das was nur die Musik und eine liebgewonnene Stimme unseren Herzen zu schenken vermag. Ich kenne dieses Glücksgefühl, da ich es empfunden habe, seit ich ein Kind war, als ich die Stimme von Franco Corelli hörte, dem Sänger, der mich inspiriert hat, und die von vielen anderen großen Sängern der Vergangenheit; ich weiß, wie sehr die Musik und der Gesang helfen können in schwierigen Zeiten zu bestehen, aber ohne Eure liebevollen Ermutigungen würde ich mich sicher der Aufgabe nicht würdig fühlen, zu der ich berufen wurde.

Thank you so much Andrea for caring about us your fans and taking time from your extremely busy schedule to acknowledge us. Also I remember that your birthday is in September and I want to wish you a very Happy Birthday !
Though retired my life has become much more busy-as lives sometimes do so I don't get to this site as often but I wanted to thank you for the e-mails you send us (and also to Renate and all who work so hard). I was so touched by "My Personal Andrea Bocelli Story # 1". I know that many besides myself could relate to the excitement of William White in meeting yourself and your lovely Veronica and of course discovering the wonderment of your music. We could imagine this happening to us and so for a moment we lived vicariously through Mr. Smith.
I wish for you continued health and happiness as you travel the world and share your marvelous gift.
